Guest Book

Welcome to our lodge located on the five star awarding winning Pen-y-Garth park. This is our second home and we trust that you will make it your home while you are with us. So that we can maintain the high standards for many guests to enjoy for years to come, there are a few things that we would politely ask for your help with…

We hope you will enjoy many of the outdoor activities that Bala has to offer but please remove any wet or muddy outdoor clothing or boots/wellies as you enter the lodge. There is a useful utility cupboard to store items like this right by the front door, as well as a washer/dryer if you need to make use of it during your stay.

Personal items

We have left a number of personal items here to make it more homely which you are free to use during your stay such as our BBQ, patio furniture etc, all we ask is that if you use them, you leave them clean and ready for the next guest, just as you expected upon your arrival.

Your views

Your comments and feedback are always welcome; either in the guest book which is located in the lodge or by posting a comment on this website. We will from time to time take the hand written comments from the guest book and post them online.

We wish you a wonderful relaxing stay in the lodge and at Pen-y-Garth!

Have fun!

Lee, Sian & Holly.

Welcome to our Lodge

209

When you want to get away from it all, there’s a lot waiting for you at Pen-y-Garth in the superb comfort of our beautiful Portland lodge.  Relaxation, rest and ready-made stunning scenery will combine to give you a top quality short or long break.  It’s your choice.  And one thing is for sure; you will always remember your visit with real affection.

Picturesque

There’s also a great selection of out-and-about activity in the area for all ages. You can choose from leisurely walking trails to the daredevil excitement of white water thrills. You can opt too for visits to selected scenic spots in this picturesque part of Snowdonia, often called the Lake District of Wales.  Nearby Lake Bala even boasts its own little railway.  It’s great fun for kids – and bigger kids!

Five star

The award-winning Pen-y-Garth five star lodge park has a fine reputation, earned from years of experience in making people welcome, often in the Welsh language, to a distinctive, landscaped and carefully maintained setting.

Traditions

Bala town, about a mile away, will satisfy all your essential shopping needs.  Many stores have family histories and keep local traditions going when it comes to favoured recipes for tasty homemade treats. One local hotel, built in the 18th century, is reputed to be haunted, but this does not stop the enjoyment of many visitors and residents alike.

Elegance and comfort

Whatever you decide is right for you, you will find the elegant comfort of our lodge rounds off the day in style.  The spacious kitchen, fully equipped with fridge and dishwasher, cooker and microwave, is there to ease the load and keep things simple.  It is the same with the stylish master bedroom and en suite shower room, while the second bedroom offers a practical, spacious walk-in wardrobe and adjoining bathroom.  There’s even a washing machine as well. Your comfort is all a standard part of the package.

Ideal close

When it comes to a super finishing touch, there’s one more plus.  The top quality hot tub on the verandah is the ideal place at the end of the day for that quiet glass of wine or a peaceful read.  So relaxing…and so unique against a background of beautiful mountains constantly changing with the light. Just don’t drop your camera in the water!

All you have to do now is follow the booking pathway to experience a holiday offering you a lot of tantalising differences.  You’ll be glad you did.
